Anchor Charts

“Anchor Charts” are posters or charts we create together, as part of a lesson.   They are a way for us to record our thinking and class discussions.  We post them on the walls of the classroom so that students can refer back to them when needed.

I’m going to be posting the anchors we have in our classroom onto this blog so that:
1) Parents/Guardians can see what their children are learning in class
2) Students can refer to the anchor charts at home, like they do in class
3) We can start taking some of the older ones down, as we're running out of wall space. By having them on the blog, students will always be able to “look back” at topics we covered earlier in the year.

As we create the charts throughout the year, I will update this page with new pictures.

I will be organizing the anchor charts by subjects:

Reading

Writing

Math
